How the dated moving plan works

The generator anchors nine checkpoints to moving day, then changes selected actions based on service format, access complexity, booking status, packing progress, and household size.

Why the sequence matters

Inventory and access decisions come before supply purchases and detailed packing. Provider scope comes before reservations. Address and service changes are separated from the final packing window so paperwork does not compete with loading-day preparation.

Calendar export

The downloaded ICS file contains one all-day event for each checkpoint. The file is generated in the browser from the displayed plan. Calendar programs handle imports differently, so verify event dates and reminders after importing.

Before importing the plan

What if the move is less than eight weeks away?

The generator marks earlier checkpoints for immediate review and identifies the current focus. Complete overdue high-impact decisions first: inventory, provider or vehicle arrangements, access rules, and essential dates.

What is an ICS calendar file?

ICS is a common calendar format supported by services such as Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, and Outlook. Import behavior varies, so review the events after adding the file.

Does Move Workbook store my moving date?

The current generator calculates in your browser. It does not intentionally submit the date to our server. Downloading the calendar creates the file locally in the browser.
