Not necessarily. A portable container may be used for a local move, transport between homes, storage at a provider facility, or a combination. Read the quote to see which services, dates, and access rules apply.

Why does the calculator ask for storage months separately?

Storage is often billed on a different schedule from transport. Keeping it separate makes it easier to see how an extended closing date or delayed delivery changes the plan.

Can I use this to compare container providers?

Yes, if you enter each provider's written figures using the same dates, addresses, inventory, access conditions, protection choice, and storage assumption. Do not compare an all-in total with a quote that excludes delivery or storage.
